DAY 3 / 10: ASSET LONGEVITY SERIES
Thermal Harmony: Inconel & Controlled Expansion
Thermal stress and fluctuating clearances between pistons and cylinder bores are major drivers of industrial machinery failure. Temperature swings often lead to micro-seizures or severe blow-by losses.
Within the HPDD platform, thermal expansion is precisely calculated and controlled:
* Material Homogeneity: Both the cylinder bore and linear pistons are engineered from high-grade Inconel superalloys.
* Identical Thermal Expansion: At our standard operating baseline of 230°C, both the cylinder bore and piston expand by an identical 109 µm.
* Constant Micro-Gap Tolerances: The hydrodynamic micro-gap remains perfectly stable under full continuous load and dynamic thermal shifts.
* Thermal Fatigue Resistance: Eliminates micro-fissuring, scuffing, and localized warping caused by mismatched thermal expansion coefficients.
