Reinventing Ammonia Production for an Abundant World

Direct, continuous-flow electrochemical ammonia synthesis powered by cheap, stranded renewable electrons — no separate hydrogen plant, no Haber-Bosch loop.

2. The Problem: A Century-Old Bottleneck

Ammonia feeds the world. It serves as the baseline feedstock for virtually all synthetic nitrogen fertilizer and drives key industrial and chemical processes. Today, it is a $70B+ annual global commodity.

Yet, the world makes ammonia today the exact same capital-intensive way it did in 1913. While low-cost wind and solar electricity have become abundant, conventional production cannot readily adapt to intermittent clean power.

"If wind and solar electricity is cheap and abundant, why is it wasted?"

3. The Solution: CaMAS Architecture

Our patented Calcium-Mediated Ammonia Synthesis (CaMAS) architecture bypasses a century of mechanical complexity. By utilizing continuous-flow electrochemistry, CaMAS activates and synthesizes ammonia directly:

Air / N2+Water+Electricity⟶Ammonia (NH3)

Same Ammonia. Far Less Machinery

No Separate Plant: Eliminates dedicated electrolyzers and high-pressure hydrogen compression.

No Haber-Bosch Loop: Replaces multi-story reactors with modular electrochemical cells.

No High Heat or Extreme Pressure: Operates under mild conditions.

Built for Intermittent Power: Engineered specifically to load-follow fluctuating renewable generation.

Zero Rare-Earth Elements: Built using earth-abundant inputs.
4. Unmatched Economic & Operational Advantages
  • ~40% to 60% Lower Plant CapEx: Drastically reduces total plant installation costs compared to green Haber-Bosch.

~25% Less Electricity per Ton: Modeled mature whole-process energy intensity of ~7 MWh/t vs. ~9–10 MWh/t for standard green Haber-Bosch.

Target Cost of ~$275/ton: Planning-case cost under low-cost power (~$30/MWh), positioned well below current global commodity spot prices.

Hardware Proven, Rapidly Scaling: Out of the beaker and into hardware. Over 800× active-area scale-up achieved since January 2026, with isotope-verified production and 60+ hour continuous flow demonstrated.

5. Market Opportunities: Today & Tomorrow

  • Fertilizer & Chemicals (Immediate Demand): Decarbonizing the existing $70B/year global baseline market without requiring customer behavior changes.
  • Clean Marine Fuel (Next Frontier): Meeting incoming maritime decarbonization mandates, with nearly 100 ammonia-capable vessels under construction.
  • Dispatchable Power: Providing grid-scale seasonal energy storage and peaking power.
  • Clean Steel & High Heat: Providing low-carbon hydrogen carrier fuels for heavy industry.
