Solar plants

Solar utility plants across India are scaling at unprecedented speed, but the true operational hurdle remains firm, dispatchable power: how to bridge night hours and seasonal generation troughs without dirty diesel gensets or massively oversized, rapidly degrading lithium battery banks.

A client in India recently came to us with a clear operational requirement:
• Peak capacity required: 1.5 MW
• Minimum guaranteed dispatch duration: At least 8 continuous hours delivering 700 kW (5.6 MWh of firm backup reserve)

The engineering solution? Deploying our Hydro Puls Direct-Drive (HPDD) core paired with geNH₃'s direct electrochemical CaMAS platform.

1. Well Within Operating Specifications:
Delivering continuous 700 kW across an 8-hour shift—with immediate headroom to surge up to 1.5 MW—sits comfortably within the high-stiffness operating envelope of modular HPDD direct-drive units. Unlike slow thermal turbines, HPDD’s linear displacement dynamics respond instantly to cloud cover or sudden grid drops.

2. Closed-Loop Green Ammonia Architecture (geNH₃ Integration):
Instead of relying on diesel supply chains or suffering chemical degradation in extreme ambient heat, green ammonia (NH₃) acts as the high-density, dispatchable energy vector:
• High-Generation Hours: Excess midday solar electrons power the geNH₃ continuous-flow electrochemical reactor, synthesizing water and nitrogen directly into stored liquid ammonia on-site.
• Solar Deficit / Night Shifts: During low solar yields, the stored ammonia is deployed directly through the HPDD direct-drive system to deliver firm, pulsation-controlled hydraulic-to-electrical kilowatt-hours back to the plant.
• Zero Harmful Emissions: The system discharges only benign nitrogen and water vapor, closing the mass balance without soot or toxic flue gases.

No grid curtailment, zero cycle degradation over decades, and complete energy autonomy for large-scale solar installations.

Decoupling energy generation from dispatchability with direct chemical synthesis and direct-drive mechanics turns intermittent solar into true 24/7 baseload power.
