The global greenhouse industry is under immense pressure to decarbonize while managing soaring operational costs. High-tech greenhouses not only demand massive, reliable baseload electricity for LED growth lighting, but they also battle rising water scarcity and extreme cooling loads during warm periods. The introduction of the Hydro Puls Direct-Drive (HPDD) platform solves this triple-resource puzzle simultaneously within a single, closed-loop, zero-emission ecosystem.

Where traditional combined heat and power (CHP) systems running on fossil natural gas face escalating fuel costs and CO_2 taxes, the HPDD architecture introduces a completely carbon-free alternative powered by Green Ammonia NH_3). Rather than acting as a standalone generator, the platform operates as an integrated utility infrastructure that optimizes all critical resource streams for a facility at once, delivering three vital assets from a single system:

  • 100% Emission-Free Baseload Power: Operating at an industry-leading primary mechanical/electrical efficiency of 61.3%, the HPDD core delivers stable, on-site electricity for intensive LED grow lights and automation, entirely bypassing grid congestion.
  • "Free" Direct Dry Cooling: Instead of installing costly, power-hungry mechanical chillers or compressor cooling loops, the platform utilizes its innovative Exhaust Harvest Stage. This outputs a bone-dry, nitrogen-rich airflow at exactly -20°C. When integrated into a standard 10 MW configuration, this injects 980 kW of direct cooling capacity straight into the greenhouse climate control system.
  • Net-Positive Water Production for Irrigation: While traditional commercial horticulture drains millions of liters from local water tables, the HPDD combustion loop acts as an active water producer. The system continuously condenses and harvests over 2,300 liters of pure, unpressurized condensate water every single hour (for a 10 MW array), providing a continuous internal freshwater source for irrigation and hydroponics.

Thermodynamic Precision Under Extreme Pressure

The mechanical robustness of the system is engineered specifically for continuous, heavy industrial baseloads. The HPDD core regulates combustion stably at 1051°C, managing its structural boundary by keeping the engine jacket at a constant 230°C via an unpressurized siloxane medium.

Due to this highly controlled thermal profile, both the Inconel cylinder boring and the opposed piston pairs (configured in 2 pairs in opposition) expand symmetrically by exactly 109 µm. This symmetry guarantees a flawless geometric seal and completely eliminates mechanical Hertzian contact stresses, even when the software-defined linear fluid matrix operates under extreme pressures of up to +600 bar.
